Lower-case L's and Upper-case I's Translated Incorrectly

I noticed today that all the lower-case L's and upper-case I's in the PDF I created by printing to doPDF from a website are thick rectangular blocks. I would have thought this change corresponded to my upgrade to version 9 but I went back and tried version 8 (which I have not yet deleted from my computer) and it has the same problem.
