conversion using dopdf not found

I have used dopdf for years. Yesterday my system crashed and I was forced to wipe hard drive and start over. I downloaded do pdf 7.3 but cant get it to open files. I am running Win 8 64 bit. I get the convert file to pdf window, when I choose the file to convert I get an message that says "There is no application associated with the given file name extension. " I was using dopdf program 2 days ago on the same computer. What is up??
