Problems with cistom page sizes

Post by Woody44 »

I am a self-published author. I publish through Amazon KDP, which requires a PDF file for the covers of printed books. Even when using standard book trim sizes (such as 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" or 6" x 9") the cover is always an odd size because the page count changes the thickness of the book spine.

I created a book cover in Libre Office Writer at a page size of 12.92" x 9.25". I could not get doPDF to create a PDF with that exact size. I set the page size in printer properties under print setup, but when I went to print -- that size wasn't available. There were a number of other user-defined sizes shown -- most of which I don't remember ever having used -- but the size I wanted wasn't available.

What am I doing wrong?

For what it's worth, I am using doPDF7.

Hi,

Before saving the PDF, click on Printing Preferences to open doPDF's print options. In there under Page Size - select Custom and set the exact PDF size you want. Save the PDF after that, the new size should be correct now.
