Prints to file, but no association

Everything works fine until I see the file created by the pdf print job has no file association. I tried to associate it to the DoPDF.exe in the programs folder, but all that did was open the DoPDF program when I clicked on the print file.
I am using win xp home sp2. Could it be that dot net framework is needed? Dont really want all that dot net garbage on my spanky clean laptop.
Any ideas much appreciated. I use this on my desktop running win 7... and it really rocks.

Sorry to have wasted your time. The fault was not DoPdf...it was mine. I had no file association to a pdf reader. Now using PDF-XChange Viewer, and all is well.
