I'm not sure the requirements you have for high quality, but have you tried converting with doPDF and selecting the "Best quality" on the save window to see if the result fits your need?

I've got the same problem, but using Firefox, and there's no "Print using system dialog".

What do you recommend to overcome the problem when printing to doPDF from Firefox?

I can't answer your question, but I sure wish someone else would because I've got the same problem with Firefox and it's really annoying.
