You're right, doPDF cannot be shared as a network printer. Right now you can achieve this using our other product, novaPDF - http://www.novapdf.com/
We're considering this feature for one of the future releases.

doPDF runs just fine on XP, and can be installed on a virtual machine. What is the problem you received when installing or using it?

We have tried to reinstall doPDF multiple times but no errors occurred. At this point, the issue is mostly related to the Windows recovery that was done so there isn't much we can suggest about this unfortunately.
