<t>Karl L. Gechlik, who runs his own consulting company, manages AskTheAdmin.com and works a full 9 to 5 job on Wall street as a System Administrator, recently submbled upon doPDF and shared his opinion about it:<br/> I quickly Googled around looking for a free, easy solution. <t>Hi,<br/> <br/> The errors you are getting say this:<br/> <br/> "The specified print monitor has already been installed<br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> Illegal operation attempted on a registry key that has been marked for deletion."<br/> So it seems that it detects a previous installation. First of all ma...

<t>do you want to have the pdfs automatically sent via email after they're created? or you are simply asking how to send an attachment via the email? If it's the first question, doPDF cannot send the PDF automatically after it's created. If it's the second question, once the PDF is created and saved...

If the resolution change didn't work, I don't think there's much we can do but send it to info[at]dopdf[dot]com so we could see exactly what happens. Again, it isn't really recommended to print a pdf to another pdf since PDF is already a compressed format.

<t>What PDF reader are you using? Make sure you use the latest version of that pdf reader, and also in doPDF modify the Resolution from 300dpi to the maximum dpi allowed.<br/> When you print a PDF to another PDF, the quality of the latter one will be lower though. Ideally you should use the original...

<t>It seems like the chart is probably a custom large size, but gets printed in a letter-size format. doPDF normally prints the pdf exactly in the format it receives, so make sure the Print Setup in your genealogy software is set for a custom large size. <br/> If that doesn't work, set the same cust...

<r>Does doPDF permit links and/or images in its PDF files ?. <br/> Yes, images are converted in the pdf file (I think that's what you're asking). Links are converted too, if they're in a visible format (not hidden links) like <URL url="http://www.novapdf.com">http://www.novapdf.com</URL> for example...

<t>I'm posting here in case anyone else has this question. The file in discussion contained only Chinese text, so even if the file was about 30Kb, the resulting PDF had 300Kb.<br/> This happens because, being in Chinese, the text doesn't contain the standard PDF characters, so in the PDF we have to ...

<r>First, there has to be a way to prevent Adobe from leaping up and taking over your screen when you use this product.<br/> <br/> This will be in the next version.<br/> At present CutePDF would be the most comparable product to this one out there. When you pay for the "custom" package, you can set ...

<r>Hi,<br/> <br/> You have to "print" your file to doPDF, as you would print it to a normal printer.
