PDF file size in header/trailer

Is there anywhere the PDF file size is stored in its header/trailer or anywhere in the file? I know that I can get the file size from the operating system but does PDF save this information in its metadata?

Yes, if you open the pdf file and go to File-Properties (or click Ctrl+D) you'll open the PDF document properties window where in the Advanced section is the filesize in kbytes and bytes.
