Build 239 should have solved this issue completely, can you please install it and confirm?

Glad to hear it, thank you for reporting this as otherwise it would've been difficult to spot it as most users use themes.

Windows 7
DoPDF 10.1.114

The checkbox for an option for Office plugins has disappeared. The plugins were installed -- against my intent -- for both Word and Excel. I had to go through significant gyrations to remove them.

Hi,
It's true, the checkbox was removed because the addons are now fully integrated with the doPDF brand (don't show as "novaPDF addons" as with previous versions). However, we'll add this option back in the next major version (10.3) as we received other requests on this particular feature. Thank you.

Installation Option for Office Plugin

Let us know how it turns out.

I guess some people dont know that Open Office will run on Windows as well as Linux.

What kinds of applications could be used here?

Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x64
doPDF 10.4.117

Not only does installing doPDF in Windows cause Word and Excel plugins to be installed, but they cannot be removed. I was able to remove the plugins from Word and Excel themselves. However, both x86 and x64 versions of the plugins (7.41 MB combined) remain in my system despite several attempts to remove them via Windows Programs and Features removal tool. This situation strongly resembles the action of malware.

Hi,

Hope you're not holding your breath waiting for a response to this post, and your "How Do I Remove Office Plugins" post. :-) If you are you must be pretty blue in the face by now.

I'm also sick of having doPDF automatically install the Office plugins, and wish that it would be corrected/rectified as promised many, many months ago.
