Go to the list of your Devices & Printers, then for doPDF 8 right click and select Printing Preferences. After that click on the About tab and then on Check for Updates. You'll see there an option to enable/disable it and also how often to do it.

Is it possible to set it to not update during the install? Or a registry setting? We are deploying this to some users and would like it to not ask them for updates.

No, you cannot set during installation a parameter to disable updates.
However, this is the registry key that has to be set to 0 if you want to disable updates:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Softland\novaPDF 8\doPdf8_Softland\AutomaticUpdate
I assume you could create a registry file and install it on their computers after dopdf is installed.

Thank you for the reply. So yes, I could make that key, however it is under the current user hive and we have systems that multiple people would use. Do you know if there is anything under LOCAL_MACHINE we could use? I did not see any keys there and copying the one from HKCU did not work.
