Why can't I highlight to copy and paste from a .pdf created with dopdf?

This happens because the original document you are converting from doesn't have searchable text (text that can be copied/pasted). doPDF only creates searchable PDFs if the original document contains searchable text too (this means that if you convert an image in a PDF you won't be able to copy text from the PDF).
